I am a young Pittie mix that has has all my shots, been neutered and microchipped. I am kennel and house trained and even mastered my basic commands. I really like people, in fact when Animal Control picked me up, I was escorting shoppers in and out of the local grocery store! Do you think I could be a Wal-Mart greeter some day? I am starting to lose my baby teeth now. I put one under the pillow last nite and wished for my my forever family to find me. Some people say the Tooth Fairy is not real, but I know he is real. I know he will find my forever home for me. Are you it? If you are interesting in meeting me, please contact my foster mom, Pam at 281.773.9084.

My name is Honey. My foster mom said that she named me that because I am so sweet. I was abandoned near a subdivision that was being built after I had my puppies. A nice lady there would bring me food and water and knew that I was a sweetheart and that I had just landed on hard times. So she contacted my foster mom to see if she could help. My foster mom came and opened the door to her vehicle (and the door to her heart) and into both I jumped !! I am about12 to 18 months old. I am a pit mix. I have been spayed, my foster mom says I do not have to have any more puppies, ever again. I have had all the shots I need (ouch!). Someone spent time with me before because they taught me to sit and lay down. If they did that, I donít know why they abandoned me. I get along with other dogs and I think cats are pretty cool too! My foster mom loves me but canít keep me because she has a lot of other dogs. Plus she says that I need to find my own forever home, so that she can help another dog that is down on itís luck, like I was. To meet me, please contact Pam Rouse @ 281.773.9084 or 713.331.6501 Or you can come meet me at the PetCo on Westheimer at Wilcrest on Saturdays from 11:00 to 4:00. A home visit will be required. Honey may only go to a home with a male dog about her size.

Meet our very own black beauty -- ok, she's not a horse, but an absolutely gorgeous American pit bull terrier. Poor Candy has a lot in common with Black Beauty, she was abandoned on the streets and was not treated too well at all...she was lucky enough to stumble into our kennel one day and we took her into our adoption program. Poor Candy has been waiting for about 9 months to find her forever home which is way too long for this sweet girl to wait (and if you calculate 9 months in dog years....well, you get the picture --THIS BABY NEEDS TO FIND HER FOREVER HOME!! Candy is a very sweet and loving girl. She is solid black and has muscle that deserve her a place on the cover of muscle and fitness magazine!! She is also kennel trained and is very smart and sweet. She learned her basic obedience commands of "Sit" and "Down" in about 10 minutes. She is so willing to learn new things. She loves to retrieve thrown toys and then play tug with you. When she is done with her toys, she will put them all in a little pile so they are ready to play with later! She is a little hyper but that's just from being kenneled -- once you get this sweetie home, she'll calm down a lot but you'll appreciate why we call her our little squirm-worm of a girl :) She is on the smaller side of pits and will make someone a very loving pet. If you would like to meet Candy Cane, please visit Noah's Ark Grooming and Pets, 13155 Westheimer Rd. # 141, Houston, TX, phone is 281-556-0226 or you can see her this Sat. at PetCo at Westheimer and Wilcrest. Whether you are or not interested in adopting Candy Cane, I STRONGLY encourage you to take the time to visit the below link which provides some history and valuable information on the pit bull breed. You might be very surprised at what you find and it includes such interesting tidbits like that Teddy Roosevelt, Helen Keller and our gang little rascals all owned bit bulls. http://www.badrap.org/rescue/breed.cfm

REUINTED WITH OWNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING PLEASE CONTACT DUKE'S FOSTER MOM FOR INFORMATION Say hello to Duke, the stunningly handsome German Shepherd Dog. Sweet Duke was found wandering the streets in the Heights almost a month ago. Sadly, no one has come looking for him, so Duke is now looking for his brand new forever home. Duke currently weighs about 80 pounds and could stand to put on a few more pounds, but that will come with time. He's great with kids, but given his size and strength, Duke's ideal home will have humans past the toddler stage to avoid little ones being knocked over or children accustomed to life with a big pup. At about a year old, Duke is close to his adult stature but will continue to fill out for another year or so. He is still very much a puppy and loves to play with other dogs, girls or boys. He's not particular as long as the other dog wants to play, play, play! Basic training is always advisable for any new fur-kid, but especially so with larger breeds. Duke will require a home committed to his training, with a secure fence and a promise that he will not be left outside unattended. Among his many talents, Duke has mastered fence climbing, so no cyclone or short fences please. German Shepherds are extremely intelligent and need to have a job, be it formal agility training or a rousing round of catch and a good run. If you would like to meet Duke, please contact his foster mom and caretaker Grace at: 713-516-8727 or gholmos@sbcglobal.net

ADOPTED: Hans and Peter have been adopted. we only have Heidi left........ Oh, Giant Schnauzer lovers......you may want to keep reading!

E-Rescue is pleased to present the triplets, Heidi, Hans, and Peter von Schnauzer, the delightful Giant Schnauzer puppies. We do not know if they are mixes or not and cannot say they are pure-bred, but..... Heidi, Hans and Peter were favorites at the shelter. The fantastic Animal Control Officer told us that they were the best behaved little ones she's ever seen. They were very tidy about their potty habits, only using one corner of their inside/outside kennel run to do their duty, keeping the rest of their temporary home clean as a whistle for play time, sleeping and dining. Seeing that they are only 3 to 4 months old, this is actually quite remarkable and bodes well for future house-training efforts. Heidi, Hans and Peter will be big dogs, weighing up to 75 to 80 pounds. Each will require a home with secure yards, plenty of exercise and training to make sure they continue to be good little canine citizens. According to the experts, Giant Schnauzers require early socialization to make sure they are comfortable around new people. They can be rambunctious goofballs and serious defenders of their homes, all rolled into one glorious dog. They must be kept challenged to keep their intelligent minds occupied of they can and will make their own entertainment. The humans in these pups lives must be the "alphas" to make sure they turn out to be fabulous canine companions, so previous experience with big, super-smart dogs is required for the success of these puppies. If you would like to meet Heidi, Hans or Peter, they will be waiting patiently for you at:

ADOPTED Meet Monk, he's a happy go lucky pup that was evidentally recently dumped or misplaced on the country roads of Waller County. He's a hound dog/lab mix best we can tell, with huge feet and long legs. He seems to be in good health and cannot have been on the roads long. He has been wormed and given one round of shots. Monk is due to be neutered and UTD on all shots in the next week or so. We think he is approximately 6 months old......he loves to run and play - but is getting adjusted to being in a yard. He moved into our crew of 6 in the doggie yard very easily, and does whatever he is told by my old-timers. Monk seems very happy to just be with a family and causes no stir at all. He loves kids, all people, other dogs, and does great with my cats that are dog-saavy.

Monk needs his own home, but for now is safe with his foster family (but the over-crowded family is looking forward to finding this sweet boy's forever family). Please if you have a good home for this baby you can call Rhonda at 281-935-0707, or email below for more info on Monk and adoption fee. ADOPTED We're pleased to introduce one of our newest arrivals, a gorgeous Australian Shepherd named Blue. Just look at his incredible eyes and you'll know how he came by his name. Blue came to us as an owner turn-in. His mommy had raised Blue from a puppy, but then her life turned in directions she'd never imagined and Blue no longer had a home of his own. Blue is so sweet, but so terribly confused by his change in circumstances. Blue is about 5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, housetrained, heartworm negative and on prevention. He had been so well cared for by his first mom and we've promised him that his new home will be forever and every bit as good. If you have room in your home and in your heart to help this sweet boy love again, please come meet Blue at: Noah's Ark Grooming & Pets 281-556-0226 13155 Westheimer Rd, Ste 141 Houston, TX 77007 (1/2 block east of Eldridge) Adoption hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM during the week (closed on Tuesday) On Sunday, from 11 AM to 3 PM (at Noah's Ark) On Saturday I will be at the Petco on Westheimer and Wilcrest from 11AM until 3:30 Pm If you would like to help feed me or one of my friends, please send a tax deductible donation to E-rescue 12910 Harwin Dr Houston, Tx 77072 Or click on the donate button on the website

ADOPTED!! Here is one fabulous lab, our very own Buddy boy. Buddy is an absolutely gorgeous chocolate lab who just arrived in rescue and is already stealing hearts....at least ours. We're pretty sure he'll steal yours too once you meet him. Buddy is young, maybe a 1 1/2 years old, friendly, curious and every inch a lab. This special boy will be vaccinated and neutered this weekend and will be ready to head for home right after that. If a lab is in your future, this is one great candidate for love-buy of the year! To meet Buddy and maybe be lucky enough to claim him for your own, please contact Buddy's foster dad Todd at 713-444-1371 or txcwd63@hotmail.com. Better hurry all you lab lovers. This big boy won't be around for long! ADOPTED!! Meet Molly! This sweet girl has had a rough start......but she's in great shape now, and really looking for her forever family! She's a boxer/Staffordshire mix, and is about 18 months old. She loves to play, and loves her kitten and her humans. She prefers to play with larger breed dogs....cause the little ones really don't understand how to play - she thinks. Play means to run and pounce and jump in water and then roll all over, and then run and jump again. She loves to play fetch and would a great frisby partner. She is house-broken (and very calm in the house when the family is home), and up-to-date on all her shots. She needs a family that understands big dogs - although she is full grown and weighs in under 50 lbs. She likes to sleep in and cuddle too! If you have the right home for this sweet, loveable lug....call 281-935-0707.
